We are seeking an enthusiastic Software Engineer specializing in frontend and mobile development to join our dynamic and fast-growing startup. The ideal candidate will have at least 3 years of experience in building intuitive, high-quality web and mobile applications using React and React Native. You will collaborate closely with our design and backend teams to deliver exceptional user experiences across multiple platforms.
Description
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain responsive frontend applications using React.
- Build and optimize mobile applications for iOS and Android using React Native.
- Work closely with UX/UI designers to implement designs and ensure the best possible user experience.
- Integrate frontend and mobile apps with backend services via REST APIs.
- Write clean, efficient, maintainable code following best practices. Ensure code is efficient, optimized for performance, and adheres to modern web and mobile optimization techniques.
- Debug and troubleshoot software defects, providing timely resolutions.
- Participate in code reviews, contribute to technical documentation, and adhere to software engineering standards.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field.
- 3+ years of professional experience developing frontend and mobile applications.
- Strong proficiency in JavaScript, React, and React Native.
- Experience with state management libraries.
- Familiarity with RESTful APIs and asynchronous data handling.
- Good understanding of responsive design and mobile-first development.
- Solid grasp of version control using Git.
- Strong understanding of CSS.
- Proficiency in Expo, including familiarity with building, deploying, and optimizing Expo-managed applications. Experience with an Expo-ejected workflow is a plus.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience developing customer-facing applications.
- Experience working with OAuth authentication flows.
- Experience with automated testing frameworks (Jest, React Testing Library).
- Familiarity with continuous integration/deployment tools (CI/CD).
- Experience optimizing app performance, debugging, and profiling.
- Knowledge of native development (iOS/Android) is a plus.
- Experience with TanStack libraries, specifically TanStack Query.
- Experience with the Axios library.
- Strong proficiency with AI tools and Data Protection.
- Proficiency with Create React App and Vite.
- Experience testing mobile applications using Appium, XCUITest, UIAutomator2, or Espresso.
- Experience with TypeScript.
- Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship. (We are unable to provide sponsorship for this role currently)
