About Pattern
Pattern is transforming airport ground operations through AI-driven software and robotics. Our mission is to make aviation logistics efficient, predictable, and human-friendly. With tools like Pulse (our data & dispatch platform), Co-pilot (think "Uber for airport equipment dispatch"), and Pathfinder (a flexible robotic conveyor belt) we’re building the ecosystem of tools to drive airport operations. Join our team of 25+ brilliant minds in Boulder, where our culture thrives on: Autonomy | Humility | Customer Obsession | Enthusiasm | Transparency

Your Mission
Orchestrate the successful delivery and evolution of key programs within one of Pattern's product verticals. Leverage your deep aviation expertise to bridge the gap between our cutting-edge technology and the complex realities of airport operations. You will be the critical link that ensures our projects are not just technically sound, but operationally brilliant, turning fluid priorities into executed plans that deliver maximum value.

Key Responsibilities
Aviation-Informed Program Leadership: Take end-to-end ownership of a portfolio of programs. Use your knowledge of airport processes (e.g., Baggage Handling Systems (BHS), ground handling, MRO, cargo) to build realistic plans, anticipate operational hurdles, and ensure solutions are practical and impactful for 24/7 airport environments.

Domain-Led Stakeholder Synthesis: Act as the central hub for communication, translating between technical teams and customer stakeholders. Your credibility in aviation allows you to speak the language of Airline Ops Managers, Ground Handling Leads, and Airport IT, building trust and ensuring alignment on project goals.

Operational Risk Anticipation: Proactively identify technical and operational risks using your industry knowledge. You foresee the real-world implications of a software delay or a feature change on baggage sortation, turnaround times, or cargo logistics, and develop robust mitigation strategies.

Fluid Priority Management: Expertly navigate and prioritize within a dynamic environment. You balance competing demands from various aviation stakeholders, adapt plans to new information, and clearly communicate trade-offs without losing sight of the overarching program goals.

Process Architecture for Aviation: Champion and implement project management processes that work for the high-velocity, high-stakes world of aviation tech. Your focus is on enabling the team's velocity and clarity, bringing structure without bureaucracy.

Resource & Dependency Mapping: Maintain a clear view of team capacity, technical dependencies, and external blockers. Work proactively to unstick the team and ensure they have what they need to move forward efficiently.

Who You Are
Aviation Industry Insider (Highly Preferred): You have 3-5+ years of experience in technical project management, program management, or operational leadership within aviation. Your background may include working with or for airlines, airports, ground handlers, or OEMs on systems like Baggage Handling (BHS), Ground Support Equipment (GSE), MRO, Cargo, or other airport logistics.

Master Communicator & Translator: You fluently navigate both the technical language of software development and the operational language of the ramp, baggage claim, and control centers. You build trust quickly and are known for your clear, concise updates.

Ambiguity Tamer: You excel in fluid environments where the path isn't always clear. You bring order to chaos by asking the right questions, building frameworks, and creating a shared sense of direction.

Unblocker Mentality: You are obsessed with removing obstacles for your teams. You don't just track status; you use your domain knowledge to actively solve problems and empower others to do their best work.

Pragmatic Process Advocate: You believe in just enough process to be effective. You adapt your methodology to the team and the problem, favoring agility and outcomes over rigid adherence to any single framework.

Collaborative Influencer: You build trust quickly and can influence without direct authority. You report to the Customer Success Director but are a peer and partner to engineering leads and customer stakeholders.
